Skillpoint Alliance seeks to connect business, community and education by equipping educators with the curriculum and innovative techniques to prepare students for a digital future. Workforce readiness and career awareness activities developed in concert with local schools and with the community-at-large yield greater student achievement, more satisfied employers, and therefore a better regional economic outlook.

Educator Professional Development

Educator Professional Development (EPD) programs provide professional development opportunities for educators using innovative approaches. Through regional partnerships and collaboration among Skillpoint Alliance industry and education members professional development and training workshops highlight exciting and emerging careers and tehnologies are designed.

Before I started Construction Gateway, I had low self-esteem, no self confidence and very little hope for a bright future. I’ve made some bad choices in my life but I learned a lesson with every mistake and it’s helped me change the way I think.

Construction Gateway has given me the chance to re-invent myself. The program and all the instructors have given me back my self-esteem, self-confidence and something that’s far more important than anything that can be taught in these classrooms... hope. I am no longer afraid to wake up and face the day’s challenges.
