FTC General Information

Let us help YOU launch a FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) team during the 2011-12 School Year!

Our goal is to develop as many robotics teams as possible in the Central Texas and to direct more funding to our region.  FTC teams consist of 3 – 10 students, so a high school with more student interest is welcome to nominate multiple teams for funding. Be sure to submit one application per team. If you or someone else you know is interested in supporting a high school robotics team at your organization, we recommend checking out the resources below!

Before I started Construction Gateway, I had low self-esteem, no self confidence and very little hope for a bright future. I’ve made some bad choices in my life but I learned a lesson with every mistake and it’s helped me change the way I think.

Construction Gateway has given me the chance to re-invent myself. The program and all the instructors have given me back my self-esteem, self-confidence and something that’s far more important than anything that can be taught in these classrooms... hope. I am no longer afraid to wake up and face the day’s challenges.

Johnny Beall,
2009 Gateway Graduate
