Skillpoint Alliance was recently chosen as one of 18 grant recipients by the United Way of Williamson County to receive one of the organization's Community Investment Grants. Funds allocated for Skillpoint Alliance will be used towards the coordination of the long successful Gateway Construction program.

Before I started Construction Gateway, I had low self-esteem, no self confidence and very little hope for a bright future. I’ve made some bad choices in my life but I learned a lesson with every mistake and it’s helped me change the way I think.

Construction Gateway has given me the chance to re-invent myself. The program and all the instructors have given me back my self-esteem, self-confidence and something that’s far more important than anything that can be taught in these classrooms... hope. I am no longer afraid to wake up and face the day’s challenges.
