Enriching Curriculum and Encouraging Educators

Skillpoint Alliance seeks to connect business, community and education by equipping educators with the curriculum and innovative techniques to prepare students for a digital future.

Educator Professional Development

Educator Professional Development (EPD) programs provide professional development opportunities for educators using innovative approaches. Through regional partnerships and collaboration among Skillpoint Allaince industry and education members professional development and training workshops highlighting exciting and emerging careers and tehnologies are designed.

Summer Educator Institutes

Part of EPD, the Summer Educator Institutes (SEIs) promote cross-curriculum interaction and cooperative teaching for middle and high school teachers from Central Texas ISDs.

Hundreds of 9- to 14-year-olds participated in the Central Texas FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program thanks to the amazing support of parents, schools, mentors from local high tech companies, colleges and universities, and tons of volutneers. Students engaged in hands-on probelm solving with LEGO Robotics while researching real-world issues and creating their own solutions. "This event was amazing," an FLL student participant said. "My team had such a wonderful time. The energy and enthusiasm were unbelievable."
