Skillpoint Alliance's adult training programs seek to meet the needs of Austin's job seekers. Community Technology Training Centers (CTTC) and Gateway provide participants with the skills and requirements demanded by Central Texas' employers.

CTTC's Workforce Development Coordinator offers CTTC participants personalized employment services, including:

Interviewing Skills

CTTC consistently helps 20 percent of its clients find new employment, a promotion or raise or to return to school.

The Gateway program gives participants the opportunity to create a new resume and coordinates an on-campus job fair with potential employers and industry leaders. Participants also receive assistance finding new jobs after graduation. To date, the Gateway program has graduated more than 1,200 graduates, of whom more than 50% found work in the construction industry. Another 25% found employment in another area.

Hundreds of 9- to 14-year-olds participated in the Central Texas FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program thanks to the amazing support of parents, schools, mentors from local high tech companies, colleges and universities, and tons of volutneers. Students engaged in hands-on probelm solving with LEGO Robotics while researching real-world issues and creating their own solutions. "This event was amazing," an FLL student participant said. "My team had such a wonderful time. The energy and enthusiasm were unbelievable."
